Hydrant Restoration & Painting

Most, if not all coating failures occur because of poor preparation….

Sometimes as quickly as 6 months to 1 year.

GIANT Hydrant Painting & Restoration program includes abrasive blasting for optimal bonding of the prime coat. One coating of the primer material is applied within 30 minutes of abrasive blasting. Within 24 to 48 hours after the primer is applied, one spray top coat is applied and followed up with a second finished coat as needed. Our work is performed as weather permits.

In addition to superior products, and top quality workmanship, GIANT is responsible for the reasonable cleanup of excess abrasive blasting material from surrounding work areas. GIANT will provide reasonable protection to the work areas as needed. GIANT also takes precautionary measures to protect the turf and/or landscaping from overspray of all coatings. A ten-inch area around the base of a fire-hydrant is exempt from the above.
